Proof of who wrote the code

Know who actually wrote the code

Send the take-home anyway. Every submission comes back with hidden-test results, a Claude review, and the trail of how it was written — editor telemetry, optional commit history, peer similarity and public-code matches. Evidence your engineers can read, not a suspicion score. About a sixth of HackerRank's cost per screen on published entry plans.

Opening the private beta soon. Founding members get 6 months free + early-bird pricing locked for life. One email when we open — no spam, no credit card.

Screen a CV right now

Paste or upload one CV and see what comes back. It catches CVs pasted straight out of a model — and we publish the measurement, including where it fails. No signup, no card, nothing to install.

Drop in one CV

PDF or pasted text. Use a real one from a pile you are working through — that is the only way to know if this is worth anything to you.

Measured, and we publish it

97% precision on unedited AI CVs, 3% false positives, measured against 99 labelled CVs. A candidate who asks the model to sound human gets past it — that is in the write-up too.

Nothing is kept

The CV is screened and discarded. It is not stored, not used to train models, and no account is created.

One CV at a time, five an hour. Screening a whole pile is what the trial is for.

Submission integrity

Anyone can pass a take-home with an LLM. See how the work was actually done.

Process evidence first, classifiers second. We fuse editor telemetry, public-git commit history, peer similarity and web/repo search — and deliberately cap style-only AI guesses so they never decide alone. A zip with nothing to corroborate it stays unverified; it never scores “clean”.

Secure editor and session telemetry on every plan · AI analysis layers on Growth and above · Public git process evidence on every submission path

01

Paste-blocking secure editor

The assessment editor blocks copy and paste and logs every attempt, including clipboard size. A prepared solution in the buffer looks nothing like a stray Ctrl+V.

02

Server-scored session telemetry (primary in-editor signal)

Paste volume, focus switches, typing rhythm, and whether the finished code traces back to keystrokes we actually observed — all re-scored on our servers. Counters from the browser never “prove” honesty on their own, and missing or stripped telemetry never scores clean.

03

Public git process evidence (take-home path)

Candidates can paste a public HTTPS repo (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Codeberg). We shallow-clone it, extract the code, and score the commit cadence: bulk dumps, brand-new repos, work outside the assessment window, author mismatches. History can be rewritten, so we treat it as corroboration — never a sole reason to reject.

04

Cross-candidate similarity

Submissions are compared against other candidates at your company in the same language — same task and cross-task, with separate thresholds. With nothing to compare against, the check completes as no match instead of hanging. There is no shared public fingerprint corpus yet, so the first hire on a brand-new task starts without a baseline.

05

Deep web & repository search

Distinctive fragments are searched across the open web and public repositories. When a solution matches a tutorial, a gist or a Stack Overflow answer, the source link ships with the flag. This is snippet search — not a guarantee of catching every remix.

06

AI-pattern review (supporting signal only)

A separate LLM pass looks for patterns associated with generated code. In practice this is a weak signal — careful human code and model output often look alike — so uncorroborated style risk is capped and this layer never decides on its own.

Evidence, not verdicts

Every flag ships with reasoning, matched sources, and signal scores. Reviewers confirm or override; dispositions are logged for audit. DevParser never auto-rejects on anti-cheat alone.

Candidates got AI. Your take-home review didn't.

Candidates finish in an afternoon with ChatGPT. Your seniors still open a zip with no idea how the work was done — or you overpay for a quiz platform that was never built for take-homes.

Why we built this

Screening 80 candidates for a senior backend role took two weeks and roughly 120 engineering hours. Half of that was reading code with no process trail. We built DevParser so the report shows the tests, the Claude review, and how the work was actually done — in minutes, not in marathon review sessions.

What makes DevParser different

Built for real take-homes

Paste-blocking editor, server-scored telemetry and public-git commit evidence — work done at home stops being a black box. Not a webcam-exam clone.

Evidence, not a magic detector

Process signals first; style-only AI guesses are capped. Reviewers confirm or override. We don't claim 93% ChatGPT detection from writing style.

Frequently Asked Questions

Take-homes, integrity, pricing, and how we differ from HackerRank and Codility

They lead on timed screens, question libraries, and webcam/device proctoring — and on huge shared plagiarism databases. DevParser is built for real take-homes: hidden tests + Claude review, paste-blocking editor telemetry, optional public-git process evidence, and same-company peer similarity. We are intentionally not a proctoring clone. Their libraries are also their weak spot: a shared bank of thousands of questions is a bank that leaks, which is why they run leak-monitoring services against it — DevParser generates the task per candidate, so there is nothing to leak. On published entry plans we are about a sixth of HackerRank’s cost per screen.

Every plan includes the paste-blocking editor and server-scored session telemetry. Candidates can also submit a public git repo so commit history becomes process evidence for take-homes. Growth, Professional, and Enterprise add peer similarity, deep web/repository search, and an AI-pattern review pass that is capped when uncorroborated — style alone never decides. We never auto-reject; reviewers confirm or override and the disposition is logged.

We run the code against your hidden test cases, then Claude analyses the outcome. You get objective results (pass/fail, runtime errors) plus scoring on quality, efficiency and best practices. That beats reading the code alone.

DevParser pairs hidden-test execution with AI-assisted review. You get hard test outcomes plus a summary of correctness, quality, efficiency and risks. Your team can always review and adjust the score — the AI supports your judgement, it doesn't replace it.

Yes. We integrate with 11 ATS platforms including Greenhouse, Lever, Workable, BambooHR, Ashby, Teamtailor, Recruitee, eRecruiter, Traffit, Recruit CRM, and more. On Growth and Pro plans, agentic screening auto-syncs candidates, generates personalised coding tasks, and queues AI evaluations. You set daily limits; DevParser handles the rest.

Both. A pair session opens a shared editor and gives you one link to send — the candidate joins with no account and no install, you both type in the same document in real time, and the session is saved when it ends. That is on every plan, including the trial. On paid plans the live interview co-pilot builds the question plan beforehand, listens during the call, flags evasive or contradictory answers, and hands you a scorecard when you hang up. The take-home is what we screen with; the live round is where you decide.

Deliberately small — 66 curated templates — because the library is not where the work happens. DevParser generates a fresh task per candidate from the role, stack and seniority you specify, so there is nothing to leak: the exact problem your candidate sees has never been posted, sold, or indexed. Platforms with 2,000+ shared questions have to run leak-monitoring services against Stack Overflow, LeetCode and GitHub for exactly this reason. And you do not have to give up the take-home you already use: paste it in — the README, the brief, whatever you send candidates today — and we pull out the description, requirements, test cases and starter code for you to check before anything is saved. We extract, we never invent: a field the brief did not contain comes back empty and says so.

We execute code in 35+ languages, including Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C, C++, C#, Go, Rust, Ruby, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, Scala, Elixir and Haskell. Framework code — React, Django, Rails, Spring — can be submitted and goes into the AI review, but hidden tests run against the language runtime rather than a framework test harness. New languages land regularly.

You pick a plan and enter your card to start, but nothing is charged until day 15 — cancel before then and there is no charge to reverse. For those 14 days you get the full plan you chose, with the same limits and features a paying customer gets. After that, plans are month-to-month with no long-term contract.

Candidate data is encrypted in transit and at rest and processed with GDPR-aligned and EU AI Act-ready controls (transparency notice, explanations, human oversight tools). Submissions are used only to run your evaluations — they are not used to train foundation AI models, and you can delete a candidate and their data at any time.
